This Week: Drink & Draw with Dr. Sketchy!
Enjoy an evening of drinking and drawing with Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School at the Rubin Museum. In conjunction with the final days of the exhibition Hero, Villain, Yeti: Tibet in Comics, the theater stage will be transformed into the Himalayas as live models offer poses of heroes, villains, and yetis, while instructors provide drawing tips and suggestions.
Since 2005, Dr. Sketchy’s has become known as the art school for alternative drawing and now reaches over a hundred cities around the globe, from Akron to Zagreb. Whether you’re an “art-star” or a scribbling newbie, Dr. Sketchy’s is the perfect place to get your fill of life-drawing.
Dr. Sketchy’s is the brainchild of artist Molly Crabapple. For more information on Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School, please visit: www.drsketchy.com

Today’s soft-focus Adora was drawn by New York based visual artist Rita Flores. It was created using several apps including Sketchbook Pro, Percolator and Wordfoto on her iPad. Her flickr portfolio. Her Twitter. This was based on a photo which was previously also used by Valentina Capellino. Thank you so much, Rita!
